About MedNotes

MedNotes is a leading international developer of generative AI technologies designed to enhance medical and healthcare services with offices in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. At the core of our innovation is the MedNotes Foundation Model (MFM), a medically trained and optimized large-language model based on Meta's LLAMA 3, further augmented with training on large medical data sets and supported by proprietary technology required for healthcare information governance and security. The MFM is available to hospitals and healthcare systems globally, either on a shared basis or through a hosted private setup for specialized applications such as research, document analysis, model development, and data mining.

Our AI solutions prioritize security and compliance, ensuring robust data encryption and adherence to global health data regulations like HIPAA and GDPR. MedNotes' infrastructure is scalable and customizable, capable of handling extensive healthcare datasets and tailored to meet specific institutional needs. Regular updates to the MFM incorporate the latest medical research and AI advancements, providing healthcare providers with advanced analytics for better clinical decision-making and operational efficiency.

In addition to its AI infrastructure capabilities, MedNotes has developed two innovative products that leverage the MFM to reduce the administrative burden on healthcare providers:

MedNotes: This tool allows healthcare providers to scribe consultations, take dictation, and draft clinical letters, reports, and SOAP notes in seconds using a user-friendly interface. MedNotes.ai is designed for clinical units and practices to efficiently convert raw information (e.g., consultation transcripts, shorthand notes, unstructured dictation, cut/paste of disparate EHR notes) into sophisticated clinical documentation. Clinical teams can train MedNotes in minutes to produce reports and letters in a standard style, which can then be securely copied/pasted into other applications, emailed to a medical receptionist, or pushed into a FHIR-compatible electronic health record (EHR) system. Importantly, MedNotes.ai maintains a zero information footprint, ensuring that identifying patient information never leaves the user’s browser and that all data channels involved in output production are purged with each reset.

Nurse Nellie: This AI tool enhances the efficiency of outpatient and clinic experiences. Upon arrival in the waiting room, patients engage in a brief conversation with the NurseNellie chatbot, answering 3-4 questions. Based on their responses, NurseNellie prepares them with questions their clinician might ask and suggests questions they might wish to ask their clinician. Clinicians receive a summary of this information prior to the consultation, enabling more targeted and efficient consultations. This preparation helps speed up the consultation process while providing patients with a higher degree of satisfaction and value from their visit.
